Citroën Ami Caselani 2025: Electric, Retro, and Drivable from Age 15

By  |

The Citroën Ami transformed by Caselani combines classic design with urban electric mobility, offering a unique experience for young drivers and retro car enthusiasts.

An electric quadricycle for young drivers

The Citroën Ami is a light quadricycle that can be driven in Spain from the age of 15 with an AM license. Its starting price is €8,390, far below other urban electric cars like the Dacia Spring, although it is not a conventional car. This model stands out for its compact design and practical focus, created as an urban electric mobility solution that appeals for its simplicity and style.

Caselani: from vans to a classic two-seater

Italian specialist Caselani, known for transforming Citroën vehicles into retro classics inspired by the 2CV and Type H, now applies his expertise to the Citroën Ami. The result turns the quadricycle into a vehicle with round, prominent headlights and a Type H-style grille, achieving a look that evokes the icons of French design and captures attention in the city.

Customization and pricing

Caselani offers a complete transformation package for a final price of €17,120 including taxes, covering both the car and the exterior kit. Customers can choose from nine body colors and three upholstery options. Additionally, if you already own an Ami, accessories can be purchased separately, from the exterior kit (starting at €7,420) to features like “comfort shock absorbers” for €2,000, expanding the customization possibilities.

Electric mechanics remain unchanged

Mechanically, the Ami retains its original specifications: 8.2 hp two-seater, a top speed of 45 km/h, 6 kW battery, total weight of 471 kg, and official range of 75 km. This ensures that the vehicle’s urban and compact essence remains intact, while the retro design adds a unique aesthetic value without compromising electric mobility.

Certified design and warranty

Caselani products come with official Citroën licensing, guaranteeing the maintenance of the brand’s warranty. Moreover, this transformation was created by David Obendorfer, Caselani’s designer, in collaboration with the Citroën Style Center led by Pierre Leclercq. This ensures a professional result that blends French design heritage with modern mobility.
