Editorial Policy & Disclosures

Last updated: October 26, 2026

Carsfera exists to give U.S. car buyers and enthusiasts honest, useful coverage. This page explains how we work, how we make money, and how we keep the two separate.

Our independence

Our reviews and opinions are our own. No automaker, dealer, advertiser or partner pays for a positive review, and none of them sees, edits or approves our editorial coverage before it is published. If we don’t like something about a car, we’ll say so.

Press vehicles and press events

Like most automotive publications, we often review vehicles that manufacturers lend us for a short period, usually about a week. The manufacturer typically covers insurance and fuel, and the vehicle goes back when the test is done. We may also attend press drives and launch events where the automaker covers travel, meals or lodging. Receiving a vehicle or attending an event never guarantees coverage or a favorable review. Reviews of loaned vehicles state that the vehicle was provided by the manufacturer.

Advertising

Carsfera is free to read because we display advertising, including ads served by Google and other ad networks. Ads are selected and placed by those networks, not by our editors, and advertisers have no say in what we write. Seeing an ad on Carsfera does not mean we endorse that product.

Affiliate links

Some articles may include affiliate links. If you click one and make a purchase, Carsfera may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. Affiliate relationships never affect our recommendations or ratings, and articles that contain affiliate links will say so.

Sponsored and partner content

From time to time we may publish content created in partnership with or paid for by a brand. That content will always be clearly labeled as “Sponsored” or “Partner Content,” so you know exactly what you’re reading. Our test-drive reviews are never sponsored.

Accuracy and corrections

We work hard to get the facts right, but vehicle prices, specifications and availability change often. If you spot an error, email contact@carsfera.com with the article link. We’ll review it promptly and correct mistakes in the article.

FTC compliance

This policy is intended to comply with the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and testimonials. If you have any questions about a relationship behind something you read on Carsfera, just ask us at contact@carsfera.com.
