New Mercedes CLA 2025: Entry-Level Electric with 225 HP and Up to 629 km WLTP
The Mercedes-Benz CLA 2025 launches its entry-level version with impressive range and competitive pricing against the Tesla Model 3.

Mercedes CLA 2025: Efficiency and Advanced Technology
The Mercedes-Benz CLA is ready to challenge the formidable Tesla Model 3, offering efficiency, cutting-edge technology, and remarkable range. The new entry-level version, called CLA 200 EQ, features a 165 kW (225 HP) motor delivering 335 Nm of torque to the rear axle, while retaining all the advantages of the zero-emissions badge.
Smaller Battery, Surprising Range
Unlike the 85 kWh battery in the rest of the lineup, the entry-level CLA comes with a 58 kWh battery. While it does not support ultra-fast 320 kW charging, it still offers 541 km of combined WLTP range, increasing to 629 km in city driving, making it a highly competitive option in the electric sedan segment.
Adequate Performance and Practical Design
Accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds with a top speed of 210 km/h, the CLA 200 EQ proves that power and efficiency can coexist. With 4.72 meters in length and a weight of 2,045 kg, it is a comfortable and safe sedan for both urban and long-distance driving.
Premium Equipment and Comfort
The CLA 200 EQ comes with eight airbags, parking assist, camera system, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, 17-inch wheels, and MBUX navigation. The interior combines mixed upholstery, a panoramic roof, and a sporty steering wheel, delivering a premium experience even in the entry-level variant.
Advanced Safety Features
In terms of safety, it includes lane assist, rearview camera, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot and fatigue detection, high-performance LED headlights, automatic emergency braking, and traffic sign recognition. The CLA 200 EQ stands out as a strong and more affordable alternative to the Tesla Model 3, with prices starting from €48,250.
