Bugatti Mistral in Two Shades of Brown: The Stunning Farewell to the W16 Engine

By  |

The Mistral is special for being the final model to feature the legendary W16 engine. Only 99 units will be built. Owners have the ability to fully customize their vehicles with guidance from Bugatti designers.

This particular model exhibits an impressive color contrast. A creamy peanut butter brown is combined with a darker chocolate tone. This color palette is complemented by bright aluminum accents. These details are found on the wheels, exhaust tip, and engine covers. These accents prevent the brown from becoming overwhelming.

Luxurious Interior Draped in Leather

The true inspiration behind this Mistral seems to be brown leather. Nearly every surface inside is draped in this supple material. The interior color is perfectly matched to the exterior paint.

The door panel inserts and the stripes down the middle of the seats receive special attention. These areas feature woven strips of leather. The texture truly pops even though the colors are the same as everywhere else in the car.

The End of the W16 Era

The Mistral will be the last series production model to carry the W16 engine. Its specifications are identical to those of the Chiron Super Sport 300+. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.

This limited-edition Bugatti commands a price tag as lofty as its horsepower number. The base price was around $5 million when it was revealed. The price likely went up with more bespoke options. Bugatti found buyers for all 99 units. One of the build slots sold for way more than the car’s price, reaching about $9.3 million.
