Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Celebrates 75 Years of the Bulli with Special Editions of the Multivan and ID. Buzz
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles commemorates the 75th anniversary of the iconic T1, the start of the Bulli series, by launching two limited-edition anniversary models, with only 500 units destined for the German market.
The year 2025 marks the 75th anniversary of the Volkswagen T1, widely regarded as Europe’s longest-produced and most successful commercial vehicle. The Transporter has been in series production since 1950. To celebrate this milestone, Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is releasing the ’75 years’ special editions of the Multivan and ID. Buzz. The added equipment advantage in these models exceeds €5,000 in some cases compared to the standard versions.
🌟 Multivan ’75 Years’: Diesel and Two-Tone Equipment
The Multivan ’75 years’ is manufactured at the Hannover plant. This special model uses the long-wheelbase version with a 110 kW (150 hp) TDI engine as its base. Furthermore, it comes equipped with an automatic dual-clutch transmission.
The two-tone paintwork in ‘Candy White’ and ‘Starlight Blue Metallic’ defines the exterior look of this edition. The ‘Halmstad’ 19-inch alloy wheels with high-gloss surfaces complete the design, fitted with 245 tires. Darkened rear windows and IQ.Light matrix headlights with dynamic functions are standard. The vehicle also includes ambient lighting with logo projection and an extendable and retractable trailer hitch.
Inside, the Multivan offers seven seats and two-tone ‘ArtVelours’ microfiber seats with smooth leather-look bolsters. The front seats are heated. It includes a multifunction table and a heated leather multifunction steering wheel. The technology package is rounded out by the ‘Digital Cockpit Pro’, the ‘Discover Pro’ navigation system, and 3-zone automatic climate control. The driver benefits from ‘Travel Assist’ and the reversing camera. The swivel seating system allows for very flexible organization in the cabin. The total price of the Multivan ’75 years’ is €77,063.81 in Germany.
ID. Buzz ’75 Years’: More Power and Sustainability
The ID. Buzz ’75 years’ is also produced at the Hannover plant. It adopts the two-tone paintwork and ’75’ foil decal of its Multivan counterpart. The extended body provides space for the new 86 kWh battery.

A 210 kW (286 hp) powertrain drives this model. A heat pump supports battery management. ‘Solna’ 20-inch wheels, with high-gloss surfaces and 235/265 tires, define the exterior. The rear windows are tinted, and the windscreen is heated. Like the Multivan, it comes standard with ambient lighting and a foldable trailer hitch.
Innovative Technology and Materials
The ID. Buzz features seven seats made with SEAQUAL yarn, which uses marine plastics and recycled PET bottles. The leather multifunction steering wheel can be heated. In terms of technology, the IDA voice assistant with ChatGPT integration stands out. Equipment includes the ‘Discover Pro’ navigation system, reversing camera, and ‘Travel Assist’. The total price in Germany amounts to €75,169, with a price advantage of €5,344 in equipment.
Finally, Volkswagen plans to add the ID. Buzz Cargo with a long wheelbase to the range starting in 2026. This model will also use the 86 kWh battery.
