The New Honda WR-V Goes on Pre-Sale: The Entry-Level SUV That Raises the Bar for Safety and Technology

By  |

The Japanese brand launches the pre-sale of its new compact SUV, a model designed for buyers taking their first step into the Honda range without giving up equipment, comfort, or long-term peace of mind.

Honda has officially launched the pre-sale of the new Honda WR-V, a model set to become the brand’s entry point into its SUV lineup. The vehicle can already be seen, tested, and configured at official dealerships, along with a full range of genuine accessories. The offer is further strengthened by a five-year or 150,000-kilometre warranty, a compelling argument in an increasingly competitive segment.

Priced at 39,990,000 pesos, the WR-V positions itself as a strong option for customers looking to buy their first SUV. Its concept blends contemporary design, mechanical efficiency, and an equipment level focused on everyday comfort and family use. Built in Itirapina, Brazil, it features a robust yet clearly urban design, fully aligned with global market trends and Honda’s practical DNA.

Safety and technology take centre stage

One of the standout aspects of the new WR-V is its strong focus on safety. As standard, it comes with six airbags, hill-start assist, rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera with three viewing modes. On top of that, it includes the comprehensive Honda Sensing suite, featuring adaptive cruise control, autonomous emergency braking with collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist and lane departure warning, road departure mitigation, and automatic high-beam headlights, placing it among the technological benchmarks in its class.

Under the bonnet, the WR-V relies on a proven and efficient powertrain. It is powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 121 hp and 14.8 kgm of torque, paired with a CVT automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddles. This setup prioritises smoothness and low fuel consumption—key factors for urban driving and daily commuting—while remaining capable on the open road.

Interior space is another major selling point. With a length of 4.30 metres and a wheelbase of 2.60 metres, the WR-V offers a spacious and comfortable cabin for all occupants. The 458-litre boot, one of the largest in the segment, underlines its practical character. Comfort equipment rounds out the package with a 10.25-inch multimedia screen, wireless charger, automatic climate control with rear air vents, 17-inch alloy wheels, and leather upholstery, resulting in a modern, well-balanced SUV ready to become a key player in the market.
