Citroën 2026: all the launches that will define the year of electrification
2026 will be a key year for Citroën, with new SUVs, electric models, and special editions set to redefine its lineup and strengthen its presence in the European market.
C5 Aircross: hybrid and electric lead the way

The new Citroën C5 Aircross stands out as the star of 2026. The second generation of one of the brand’s bestsellers shares its platform with the Peugeot 3008 and Opel Grandland, now measuring 15 cm longer while keeping the same height and width. Diesel and conventional petrol engines are gone, making way for hybrid, plug-in hybrid, and fully electric versions, ranging from 145 hp in the mild hybrid to 210 hp in the electric variant, with a range of up to 520 km. After the summer, a Long Range electric version with 230 hp and 680 km of autonomy will arrive, aiming to strengthen its leadership in the hybrid and electric SUV segment.
Small, urban, and explosive: the Citroën Ami Dark Side

The Citroën Ami, the electric quadricycle that shook up urban mobility, will receive a Dark Side edition in 2026. Retaining its 8 hp motor and 75 km range, this version stands out with a Black Night body featuring white graphics and a predominantly grey interior. The lineup also includes the Buggy variant inspired by the Ami Buggy Vision concept. The Ami remains accessible with or without a driving license from age 14, cementing Citroën’s presence in the urban electric vehicle market.
C4 looks to the future
Following the C3 facelift in 2024 and the C5 Aircross in 2025, the Citroën C4 is set for an update, expected to reach dealerships in 2027. The new version may draw inspiration from the Oli concept, presented in 2022, integrating a more futuristic and technological design. Citroën is expected to reveal the first details by late 2026, keeping both fans and customers eagerly anticipating.
Commitment to electric mobility and Formula E
2026 will also be strategic as Citroën announces its participation in Formula E, joining the world’s premier electric racing championship. Additionally, CEO Xavier Chardon will outline the brand’s future strategy, focusing on electrification, connectivity, and sustainability, reaffirming Citroën’s commitment to innovation and the European market.
A 2026 full of launches and an electric future
With the arrival of the C5 Aircross hybrid and electric, the Ami Dark Side edition, and the upcoming C4 update, Citroën positions itself as a brand undergoing technological transformation. The combination of SUVs, urban vehicles, and electric racing strengthens its lineup and lays the foundation for the coming years, offering customers sustainable, high-tech vehicles with unique character.
