2021 Ford F-250 SRW 4X4 Crew Cab-Diesel
The 2021 Ford F-250 SRW 4X4 Crew Cab Diesel is more powerful and capable than ever before. The Power Stroke diesel engine can deliver an impressive 1050 lb-ft of torque. It happens to be the mightiest of all other models, with a towing capacity of 37k pounds.
While the stats may not seem as impressive as perhaps the 2021 Ram HD, it is certainly ahead of the GMC Sierra and the Silverado that said the 2021 Ford F-250 SRW is also a highly versatile truck, which can just as easily be configured as a stripped-down work truck if needed. However, it can also be decked out as a luxurious towing machine, with loads of options in between.
On-the-Road Performance
One of the qualms we had with the outgoing model was that it felt sluggish. Fortunately, Ford perhaps heard what we had to say and decked this one out with a 6.7-liter V8 that produces 386 HP and 430 lb-ft of torque. Again, the stats may appear similar (to the outgoing model), but it feels a lot more responsive this time around. That could be down to the slightly tweaked and improved six-speed automatic or the 10-speed automatic gearbox. Since ours was the four-wheel-drive version, we didn’t hesitate to take this beast off road.
The off-road driving experience of the 2021 Ford F-250 SRW has improved in more ways than one. For starters, the ride isn’t as bumpy, potholes aren’t going to make your head hit the roof, and engaging 4×4 helped us get out of some very muddy situations more times than we can count.
The 6.7-liter V8 with 475 horses is an absolute beast capable of towing around 18-19 tons of anything. Driving with the bed loaded makes the 2021 Ford F-250 SRW drive smoother, mainly because the extra weight helps to reduce much of the bounce from the rear suspension.
The fancier trims also do an excellent job of reducing road and eliminating wind noise when driving down the freeway. Driving the 2021 Ford F-250 SRW feels responsive, though the turning radius could be better. However, we enjoyed the firm and very responsive brake and acceleration pedals.
Towing Capacity
We can say that the 2021 Ford F-250 SRW boasts of some very impressive figures, making Ford fanboys proud. The truck can haul 7850-lbs of payload and easily pull around 24,000 lbs. via the conventional trailer hitch. In addition, it can also lug 37,000 lbs. via a fifth wheel.
Interior Style and Comfort
Fortunately, the 2021 Ford F-250 SRW walks the thin line between fashion, function, and luxury quite well. The sharp dash design looks great while the layout is practical for anyone who wants to use the truck as a workhorse.
The crew cab (the one we had) has extra storage in the form of a lockable box located underneath the rear seat. In addition to the storage that comes standard with the F-250, you’ll not run out of places to keep stuff.
Final Word
The 2021 Ford F-250 SRW 4×4 Crew Cab Diesel is one of the best work and pleasure trucks you can buy today. Whether you are a weekend warrior or someone who needs a reliable, highly capable truck, the 2021 Ford F-250 SRW more than fits the bill.
