New Jeep Avenger: The Hybrid SUV Coming to South America in 2026
Jeep prepares the Avenger’s debut in Brazil, a compact SUV with refreshed design and mild-hybrid powertrain, marking its entry into the entry-level segment.

Jeep Avenger: The Compact SUV Set to Shake Up the South American Market
Jeep is ready to make a strategic move in South America with the launch of the new Avenger, a compact SUV that debuted at the 2025 São Paulo Motor Show. Positioned below the Renegade, this model represents the brand’s push into the entry-level sport utility segment, a highly competitive market in the region.
Production and Arrival in Argentina
According to Autos Segredos, series production of the Avenger will begin in May 2026 at the Porto Real plant in Rio de Janeiro. Stellantis has invested 3 billion reais in its production and the development of new technologies tailored to the South American market. While no official date has been announced for Argentina, it is expected to arrive shortly after production starts in Brazil.
Updated Design and Ideal Dimensions
The Avenger keeps the essence of the European model but with specific adjustments for South America. Measuring 4.08 meters long, 1.78 meters wide, 1.53 meters tall, and with a 2.56-meter wheelbase, it will be the smallest Jeep SUV produced in Brazil. The front features a redesigned grille, updated headlights, and a modern visual language, while its 380-liter trunk makes it a practical and competitive option in its segment.
CMP Platform and Mild-Hybrid Powertrain
Built on the CMP platform, shared with Peugeot and Citroën, the Brazilian Avenger will feature the T200 Hybrid mild-hybrid system, combining a 1.0-liter turbo flex engine with a 12V electric generator. This setup, the first Jeep in Brazil to use it, aligns with Stellantis’ regional gradual electrification strategy, providing efficiency without compromising performance.
A Strategic Step Toward Electrification and Innovation
With the Avenger, Jeep not only strengthens its presence in South America but also paves the way for electrification in the compact SUV segment. Its combination of modern design, optimized dimensions, and mild-hybrid technology makes it a key model for the brand and a reference in innovation for local customers.
