Haval Jolion Pro 2026: the Audi-inspired Chinese SUV that has Omoda and JAECOO on alert
A new Chinese SUV aims to break into the Spanish market with European design, strong tech and sharp pricing.

A German-flavoured design in one of the toughest segments
The Haval Jolion Pro 2026 is one of those SUVs that, the moment you see it, you know it could perform extremely well in Spain. At 4.47 metres long, positioned in the compact SUV segment, offering petrol and hybrid powertrains, generous equipment and a design reminiscent of the previous-generation Audi Q3, it has all the ingredients to win over European buyers. It’s no surprise that brands like Omoda, JAECOO, MG, BYD and the upcoming LEPAS are watching this Great Wall Motors model very closely. Whether it will ultimately reach Spain remains uncertain.
Petrol and hybrid engines: efficiency and Eco badge
In the markets where it is already sold, the petrol-powered Jolion Pro uses a 1.5-litre turbo engine with 143 hp, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It returns a combined consumption of 7.8 l/100 km, slightly higher than the Omoda 5 and JAECOO 7 TGDI with 147 hp. For those seeking better fuel efficiency, the best option is the hybrid, which combines a naturally aspirated 1.5-litre 95 hp petrol engine with a 156 hp electric motor and a DHT automatic transmission, earning the sought-after Eco environmental badge. The electric motor drives the car most of the time, while the combustion engine mainly acts as a generator and steps in under heavy throttle demand.
Equipment worthy of a higher segment

One of the Jolion Pro’s strongest selling points is its high level of standard equipment. Even the base Elite trim includes a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, a 12.3-inch infotainment screen, dual-zone climate control, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, steering with three assistance levels, eco-leather upholstery, an electronic parking brake and much more. 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, keyless entry and start, a panoramic sunroof, electric folding mirrors, a six-speaker audio system and Android Auto/Apple CarPlay compatibility are also included at no extra cost.
Up-to-date safety tech and pricing that scares rivals
Safety equipment is equally comprehensive: hill-start assist, hill-descent control, front and rear parking sensors and 360º cameras are all standard. Opting for the Deluxe trim adds advanced driving aids such as lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection and more – features typically found in far more expensive cars.
A price too tempting to ignore
What truly shakes the segment are its international prices. The petrol-powered Haval Jolion Pro starts at around €14,200, while the hybrid version begins at roughly €18,700. With figures like these – combined with its European-style design, strong equipment list and efficient powertrains – it’s easy to see why Omoda, JAECOO and others consider it a threat even before it enters the Spanish market. Will it eventually arrive? Time will tell, but if it does, it could seriously shake things up.
