Con un camuflaje especial, Volkswagen ha dado las primeras pistas del nuevo ID.7 en la feria de electrónica de consumo más grande del mundo, el Consumer Electronics Show de las Vegas (CES).

“Smart Air Vents”, sistema de climatización inteligente
El ID.7 puede activar el aire acondicionado antes de que los pasajeros suban al vehÃculo. El interior se enfrÃa en los dÃas calurosos y se calienta cuando hace frÃo y se ajusta a las necesidades o preferencias de conductor y pasajeros.
Si la puerta se abre con altas temperaturas en el exterior, los “Smart Air Vents” distribuyen el flujo rápidamente por una amplia superficie mediante movimientos horizontales.
Cuando los pasajeros están sentados, se puede redirigir el aire directamente hacia el cuerpo u optar por una refrigeración indirecta del habitáculo. El ID.7 es el primer modelo de Volkswagen con un sistema de control inteligente de este tipo.

Centrado en la facilidad de uso
Los controles del climatizador están ubicados en la parte superior de la nueva pantalla de info-entretenimiento de 38 cm (15″) del ID.7. Esto se traduce en que siempre está siempre visible y se puede activar a través de un simple toque con el dedo.
Las salidas de aire inteligentes se pueden controlar desde el sencillo menú digital del aire acondicionado. La fuerza y la dirección del flujo pueden ajustarse de forma intuitiva y su configuración puede guardarse individualmente. La temperatura puede regularse mediante un mando táctil deslizante retroiluminado.

El sistema de aire acondicionado con control digital puede activarse mediante comandos de voz. Las órdenes especiales se almacenan como «Smart Climas».
AsÃ, por ejemplo, si se da en voz alta la instrucción “Hola, Volkswagen, tengo las manos frÃas”, el sistema es capaz de activar la calefacción del volante y dirigir el aire caliente a las manos del conductor durante cinco minutos.

Climatización personalizada
Las preferencias individuales del usuario se guardan como «Personalizaciones» en el ID.7. Esto incluye los ajustes registrados para el sistema automático de aire acondicionado. Esto resulta especialmente práctico si el vehÃculo es utilizado por varios conductores.
Primer VW con detección de la posición del sol
Cuando se activa la función automática, el sistema reacciona de manera inteligente adaptándose a las condiciones meteorológicas. Por ejemplo, un sensor situado en la zona del parabrisas del vehÃculo detecta el ángulo de incidencia de la luz solar y la temperatura.
Si el sol incide con fuerza sobre un lado del vehÃculo, el ID.7 adapta el sistema de aire acondicionado para orientarlo a las zonas más calurosas: primero, hacia ese lugar en el interior del vehÃculo; luego, directamente hacia los ocupantes que más lo necesiten.

Lanzamiento del ID.7, en el 2023
Después de los ID.3, ID.4, ID.5 e ID.6 (solo en China) y el ID. Buzz, el ID.7 será el sexto modelo de la familia eléctrica ID y el segundo vehÃculo global de Volkswagen (tras el ID.4) basado en la plataforma modular de propulsión eléctrica (MEB).
El estreno mundial del ID.7 está previsto para el segundo trimestre del 2023. El lanzamiento al mercado del sedán eléctrico en China y Europa está previsto para este año. Norteamérica le seguirá en el 2024.

General Motors is rolling out new over-the-air software updates that improve the infotainment experience with a redesigned interface, enhanced personalization and easier-to-use controls across eligible Cadillac models.
The latest GM infotainment software update introduces a wide range of enhancements designed to make the in-vehicle experience more intuitive and personalized. Developed using customer feedback, the new features improve navigation, media controls, seating preferences and charging functions while delivering a cleaner and more responsive interface.
Moreover, the updates are arriving through over-the-air software downloads, allowing eligible Cadillac owners to receive new functionality without visiting a dealership.

Drivers can now view an upcoming playlist through a new side queue, making it easier to see which songs will play next. Drivers can now link two user profiles to the vehicle’s memory seat buttons. With a single press, both the preferred seating position and the driver’s personalized profile are restored automatically. The feature will debut on the 2026 Cadillac VISTIQ before expanding to additional GM models.
Meanwhile, seat adjustment graphics have been redesigned to match the physical controls located on the vehicle’s doors. As a result, changing comfort settings becomes more intuitive and visually consistent.
Additionally, the charging application now features clearer labels and descriptions, making charging options easier to understand.

Updated driver profiles automatically restore personalized seating and infotainment settings.
Better Connectivity and Improved Display Quality
GM has also refined several everyday features to improve convenience.
The latest software includes sharper Head-Up Display graphics, making important driving information easier to read. Furthermore, Bluetooth pairing has been simplified by removing an extra confirmation step, allowing devices to connect more quickly.
These refinements contribute to a smoother user experience while reducing unnecessary interactions with the infotainment system.

Mitsubishi has revealed new charging details for the 2027 Eclipse Sportback EV, confirming NACS compatibility, fast charging capabilities and flexible home charging options ahead of its North American launch.
The 2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback EV is taking another step toward its North American debut with new details about its charging technology. Mitsubishi has confirmed that every version of its upcoming electric crossover will feature multiple charging options, giving drivers greater flexibility whether charging at home or on the road.
Moreover, the new EV will arrive with direct access to one of the continent’s largest public charging networks.
Standard NACS Compatibility Across the Lineup
The 2027 Mitsubishi Eclipse Sportback EV will come standard with the North American Charging System (NACS) connector on every trim level.
This compatibility allows owners to access the growing Supercharger network without requiring additional hardware. Furthermore, the electric SUV supports DC fast charging at up to 150 kW, enabling the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in approximately 35 minutes, depending on charging conditions.
As a result, Mitsubishi aims to make long-distance travel more convenient for future Eclipse Sportback EV owners.

Additionally, Mitsubishi says the vehicle’s charging performance may vary depending on battery temperature, ambient conditions and charger output.
