2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4Matic

I recently had the opportunity to test drive and evaluate the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4Matic. During my test I was able to explore what this luxurious SUV had to offer.

What’s New for 2024?

This year brings some exciting enhancements, including a refreshed exterior, a more refined interior, and updated technology and please I want to point one of my favorite feature and its location.

How many times we get into a new car and right before the traffic lights turn red we stop the car and we can’t find the start/stop bottom. Well in the new GLS you can find it right next to the start engine. Making the drive experience more enjoyable.

Exterior Design

The GLS 450 offers a modern exterior design. The lines are beautifully sculpted without missing the aerodynamics. What a refreshed look!!!

At the rear, new LED taillights creating a distinctive light signet formed by three horizontal blocks. These design elements make the GLS 450 stand out on the road.

Interior Design

Inside the GLS 450 was spacious, comfortable and luxurious. I would like to highlight the new leather upholstery options, Catalana Beige and Bahia Brown, adding a touch of luxury. The interior trim finishes have also been revised, featuring the new High-Gloss Brown Linden Wood.

The driver cockpit and infotainment is excellent. You can customize it to set up the instrument cluster according to your taste. On top of this the MBUX touchscreen infotainment system has state-of-the-art AI-enabled voice assistance (HeyMercedes) features with natural voice understanding to give you a rich feel altogether. Wireless Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay® are also available to make your trip even more enjoyable.

In the second row you will find two individual power-adjusted heated seats with heated armrests. Business-Class???

Performance

Under the hood, the GLS 450 is powered by a robust 3.0-liter inline-six turbocharged engine that delivers 375 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain provides strong acceleration, making highway merges and hill climbs effortless. The 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system ensures optimal traction and stability in challenging driving conditions.

My time behind the wheel of the 2024 Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 4Matic left a great impression.
